UPDATE: The person responsible for a drive-by shooting in Cleveland is on the loose and police need your help finding them.

Police are calling it a targeted shooting, but neighbors told Channel 3 they're still feeling uneasy.

Blue lights lined Michigan Avenue Road NE near Foxfire Road NE in Cleveland on Wednesday. Police were there investigating a drive-by shooting.

Neighbor Gerald Williams was still awake when he heard the noises in the nearby community of Foxfire.

"It really sounded like a metal hammer on something metal and I thought who would be hammering this time of night?," Williams said.

The drive-by shooting left several bullet holes in a silver SUV. Police said the man and woman who were inside weren't hurt.

The person responsible took off in a burnt orange Chevy Cobalt.

"This was not a random shooting. There was an intentional motive," Sgt. Evie West of the Cleveland Police Department said.

Sgt. West said they received several calls about the shooting. What's hurting the case is the victims who have information, but won't talk to police.

"Presents a lot of challenges us to solve a crime like this because you have people who are uncooperative in giving us information, helping us find the suspect, which puts everybody else in harm's way as well," Sgt. West said.

That's why investigators are relying on neighbors and anyone else who may know something.

Despite it being a targeted shooting, Williams still calls it frightening since his two grandchildren are staying with him for the summer.

"Hopefully, that kind of thing will not happen here. It's just sad and tragic that we have people who operate in such a fashion and absolutely don't take the safety of others in mind," Williams said.

The people living at the home where the drive-by shooting happened did not want to comment.

Anyone with information about this crime and/or the suspect is urged to contact Detective Brian Stovall at 423-303-3134 or leave an anonymous tip via Tip411 by texting CLEVELANDTN TO 847411.
