UPDATE: Search underway for suspect who shot 9-year-old Sunday morning
The girl suffered a critical, but non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
UPDATE: Channel 3 has learned the 9-year-old girl shot Sunday is going to be okay, but she is in critical condition.
Chattanooga police said Monday that she was shot in the stomach.
Police are not sure of the exact reason behind the shooting, but say there was an ongoing argument between 20-30 people who all knew each other.
Unfortunately, sometime after that, a child was shot by a stray bullet.
There’s no suspect in custody. Police are hoping the community can help change that.

Police responded to a person shot call in the 2500 block of Doolittle Street just before 1:00 am.
Chattanooga Police said they were able to meet the victim at an area hospital. She has a critical, but non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
Investigators said the girl was shot after a large disorder broke out.
Members of the Violent Crime Bureau are investigating.
