UPDATE: Severe storm possible Saturday afternoon/evening
Severe thunderstorm and flood watches have been issued for most of the Tennessee Valley.
UPDATE: Scattered thunderstorms will develop across the Tennessee Valley this afternoon and early evening. Some storms could produce damaging winds, heavy rain, and/or hail. Storms will fade after sundown, then we'll be left with only a slight chance of rain overnight, along with some clouds and lows in the upper 60s.
Occasional showers with scattered storms will return on Sunday, mostly during the afternoon, with highs in the mid-80s under mostly cloudy skies. Showers and storms will fade again after dark with overnight lows in the upper 60s.
As a low pressure system remains nearby, more scattered showers and storms will pop up on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday with highs in the mid/upper 80s, lows near 70º. Storms become more isolated and fewer in number by the end of the week with highs warming back to the lower 90s.
