New dog park coming to Cleveland thanks to grant
A new dog park is coming to Cleveland.
The city has been selected to receive a $25,000 grant to build the park. The Boyd Foundation is funding the grant as part of their Dog Park Dash grant program, which is working to make Tennessee the most pet-friendly state in the country.
Cleveland was one of the 36 recipients out of over 50 applicants to receive the grant.
The city will receive a check Saturday at the site of the future park behind Blythe-Bower Elementary School. If it rains, the festivities will be moved to the Cleveland Municipal Building in the 190 block of Church Street.
The community and furry friends on leashes are invited to attend.
