UPDATE: GSP investigating two separate deadly crashes in northwest Georgia
Two people were killed in two separate crashes in Walker and Dade Counties over the weekend.
UPDATE: Two people were killed in separate crashes in northwest Georgia over the weekend.
The first crash happened on Highway 157 near Nickajack Road in Walker County on Sunday, shortly after 10:00 p.m.
The Georgia State Patrol says 44-year-old Edward David Kendrick, of Rising Fawn, ran off the road in a curve, hit a guardrail and flipped his SUV, landing in the driveway of a home.
The GSP says Kendrick was partially ejected from the SUV and pronounced dead at the scene.
Two juvenile passengers were taken to a local children's hospital for treatment.
A second crash happened in Dade County on Highway 136 east of Piney Road around 12:15 a.m. on Monday.
The GSP says the driver of a pickup ran off the road while in a curve and rolled onto the driver's side, hitting a tree.
The passenger, 25-year-old Brittany Morrow from Chattanooga, was thrown from the pickup and pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver, whose name has not been released, was taken to Erlanger where his condition is unknown.
The investigations of both crashes are ongoing.
