A crash in Whitfield County sent four people to the hospital on Sunday.

The Georgia State Patrol said the crash involving two cars happened after 7:00 p.m. near South Dixie Highway and Threadmill Road.

The GSP told Channel 3 a white Ford Expedition was driving north on South Dixie Highway when a green Honda Accord heading the opposite direction crossed over and hit the SUV head-on.

The state trooper said the driver of the Honda was flown to the hospital. He is expected to face DUI charges.

Three others including a 6-year-old were taken by ambulance to the hospital. The GSP said everyone involved in the crash is stable.
