CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) - The team of Steve Barnes and Spencer Smith caught a 5 bass limit weighing 28.54 pounds topping out the field of 106 anglers to win first place and $2,000.00 in the Paradise Paint July day Chattanooga Bass Association Tournament. This day bass event was held July 14th 2018 out of Chester Frost Boat Ramp.

Steve said “The bass bit good while the day was cloudy but were deep. After the sun came out we got a 4pounder and that was it. All our fish came on the new Soddy Custom Tackle swim baits and some on Soddy Custom Tackle football jigs. This was our first win in 35 years of fishing the CBA.

Doug Mimms had big bass of the event a beast 11.59 pound largemouth , which becomes the largest bass caught so far in the 2018 C.B.A. events.

Second big fish of this event was caught by Steve Barnes and Spenser Smith a super large mouth weighing 8.92 pounds.

All fish caught in this event were released back into Lake Chickamauga to be caught again and special thanks to the fishermen for taking such extra good care of their catches.
