Good Wednesday and happy 4th of July!  We made it to 94 yesterday for the high in Chattanooga.  Today we will soar even further making it to 96 this afternoon with the heat index climbing to 100.  Make sure to take frequent water breaks if out during the heat of the day today.  While a ridge of high pressure will prevent most thunderstorms from ever developing, I can't rule out one or two storms breaking through this afternoon or evening.  Most (if not all) fireworks displays will go off without any issues from the weather.

Thursday will not be as warm, but we will still make to to 90 degrees with some scattered shower sandstorms in the afternoon.

Friday a cool front will slide through and bring widespread showers and storms to the area during the afternoon and evening hours.  The high Friday will only make it to 87 degrees.

Behind the front, we will be cooler and the humidity will be slightly lower.  Both of these will combine to make for MUCH nicer weather than what we are experiencing now.  Saturday and Sunday we will have highs in the low to mid 80s.
