GADSDEN, AL (AP) - A train that is popular with visitors of Noccalula? Falls Park in Alabama has derailed, injuring around 10 people.
Officials tell news outlets that the injuries sustained were not life-threatening. Gadsden Fire Department Assistant Chief Lee Dye Jr. said 10 people that ranged in age from 4 or 5 years old to 75 were transported from the scene.
Officials say the train overturned when it entered a curve in the track near the petting zoo on Saturday. The mayor's administrative assistant, Shane Ellison, says some cars of the train derailed and turned on their sides.
The park has two trains, and Ellison says neither would be running until the cause of the accident is determined.
