CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -

Chattanooga firefighters responded to a report of a brush fire Wednesday morning, and instead found soil, contaminated with fuel, that was a blaze.

Renovation work was underway at an old gas station at 4711 Brainerd Road. Workers were removing the fuel-laden soil when it ignited, according to the Chattanooga Fire Department's Facebook page.

The small fire was quickly extinguished. No one was injured.
