Medical examiner rules Etowah teen's death a homicide
Burnette, 18, had been reported missing by her family on July 1. Her body was found by a passerby three days later in a yard on Charles Street in the residential area of Etowah.
The state medical examiner has ruled the death of an Etowah, TN teen found dead on July 4 as a homicide.
Kelsey N. Burnette died at the hands of someone else, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation spokeswoman Susan Niland said in an email late Wednesday. Release of the cause of Burnette's death — exactly how she died — is pending.
