Johnson and Craft Win The Island Cove Outdoor Center 2017 August CBA

CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) - The team of Stoney Johnson and David Craft caught a 5 bass limit weighing 22.00 pounds to take the win over a field of 126 anglers to win first place and $2,000.00 in The Island Cove Outdoor Center 2017 August C.B.A. Bass Tournament. This day tournament was held Saturday, August 12th out of Chester Frost Boat Ramp.  

Stoney said “We got a good start catching 3 real good ones by 9 a.m. Then we went 4 hours without catching a fish and change our pattern and got our 5 bass limit. We went back to our early pattern and finished the day catching only 7 keeper bass all day”.

Randy Pippin won the biggest spotted bass with nice 2.31lb spot, winning a boat alarm sponsored by T&H marine

David Hix and Brent Hayes had big bass of this event weighing 9.11 pounds and Stoney Johnson and David Craft had 2nd big bass weighing in at 8.43 pounds.

Shane Frazier said “Special thanks to Island Cove Outdoor Center for sponsorship of this event”.

All fish caught in this event were released back into Lake Chickamauga.
