DUNLAP, TN (WRCB) -

Firefighters were called to a fire at a home in a Dunlap subdivision Thursday night.

It happened shortly before 8:30 a.m. in the Valley View subdivision.

Officials say firefighters were told that people were possibly trapped inside the home.

When firefighters arrived at the scene, they were pushed back by the extreme heat but were eventually able to attack the fire and get in the home to search for anyone who may have been inside.

Thankfully, no one was found inside and no one was injured.

Officials say they believe the fire was accidental and believe it started in an upstairs bedroom.

The American Red Cross was called in to help the family.
