HAMILTON COUNTY, TN (WRCB) -

UPDATE: A Thursday morning water main break that left more than 100 people without water has been repaired, according to utility officials.

Residents in the affected area can expect slow water pressure for a short time, and should return to normal later today.

PREVIOUS STORY: The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office says there is a substantial water main break on McCallie Ferry Road.

Union Fork-Bakewell Utility personnel on scene have advised deputies that due to the break, McCallie Ferry Road at Dayton Pike will be closed until further notice.

Utility and TDOT personnel advise that one northbound lane of Dayton Pike at McCallie Ferry Road will be blocked for 1-3 days depending on the extent of the damage.

Any questions regarding the water main break, extent of the damage, lack of services, or length of time service in this specific area will be affected should be directed to the Union Fork-Bakewell Utility District Office at 423-332-9733.

Good Wednesday.  Today is special because it marks the first day we see our average temperature start to recede.  The average high for yesterday's date was 90.  The average high for today's date is 89. As we progress through today we will notice our humidity levels dropping and skies clearing.  Temperatures will also be about 5 degrees lower than yesterday (93 was the high in Chattanooga Tuesday).  The bottom line: awesome weather is settling in.
