Light rain and fog will be ongoing this morning through 11AM. Rain should taper off in Cleveland, Dunlap, and Chattanooga through 9AM, while areas across northern Georgia near Dalton, and Blue Ridge will continue to have showers a few more hours. Cloud cover once again this morning will keep temperatures below normal with a high again near 83. Broken cloud cover this afternoon will give way to some sun by this afternoon and evening. Dry air will slowly return by this evening thanks to a north/northeasterly wind up to 8 mph.
Tonight looks quiet with forecast lows in the upper 60s. Wednesday morning we'll start off dry, with showers and isolated thunderstorms returning by 12PM. Rain amounts for Wednesday will range from 0.25" to 0.50" with the highest values near Pikeville, Athens, Cleveland, Dalton and those east.
Thursday afternoon and evening will bring another 1" to 2" of rain. Higher amounts once again will be further east towards the Blue Ridge Mtns. As this pesky front stalls from Friday through Sunday, it looks good we'll have widely scattered showers into the weekend.
