Good Monday Morning,

Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms are possible through the morning commute. By afternoon, the best chance for rain and thunderstorms will be east of I-75. Rain amounts will range from 0.50" to 0.75" west of I-75 by tonight. In the Scenic City up to 1" looks good, and those east of I-75 near Blue Ridge and Murphy could see close to 1.25". It won't be as warm today, but you'll notice the humidity higher through the afternoon. Temperatures will reach the low 8-s with a southwest wind of 5-10 mph.

Tonight the rain chance looks to come to an end by 10PM-Midnight for most. There may be a few showers still possible south near Dalton, Fort Payne, and Ellijay through early Tuesday morning.

Besides a few isolated showers Tuesday, much of the day is trending drier. Wednesday will bring a chance for storms during the day. Thursday and Friday look to bring another 1" to 2" of rainfall possible. A preliminary look, shows highest values east of I-75 at this time.
