Good Friday. We start the day with mostly cloudy skies and temps in the low 70s. This afternoon a cold front will approach, and we will see humidity building and a few spotty showers and storms ahead of the front. Late this afternoon and this evening we can expect widespread showers and storms, and a marginal risk of some of the stronger storms producing damaging winds and hail.
Late tonight cooler and drier air will begin to move in setting the stage for a really nice weekend. Saturday will be flawless with temperatures ranging from 65 in the morning to 86 in the afternoon. Humidity will be very low for August and skies will be mostly sunny so it will feel ridiculously nice all day long. Sunday will be nice also with a high of 87, though the humidity will eek up just a bit.
Next week another front will settle over the Tennessee Valley. It will spawn scattered showers and storms every day next week. Flooding may b an issue we are dealing with by Tuesday or Wednesday. The clouds and rain will keep daytime highs in the low to mid 80s.
