Chattanooga police arrested a woman Thursday who they say left her three children alone at home for six and a half hours.

According to the arrest report, the manager of an extended stay motel on Northpoint Boulevard found a two-year-old walking around the complex naked and alone.

Neighbors told the manager where the child lived and he called police.

The report says officers found a three-month-old in the crib and covered in urine as well as a three-year-old in the home.

Nearly seven hours later, the mother, 25-year-old Audri Burnett, returned home.

Burnett admitted to leaving the children by themselves while she was at work. Burnett told police she asked her cousin to watch the children when her babysitter told her the night before that she could not watch them. Burnett told police that she left the children at home alone anyway, hoping her cousin would eventually show up to watch them.

Burnett was arrested for three counts of child neglect.

Her children were placed in the care of a grandparent by Child Protective Services.
