This year marks the 30th anniversary for the World's Largest Yard sale that runs on 127 starting this Thursday, August 3rd through Sunday August 6th.

The nice weather however already has folks out since Wednesday, where vendors and customers have traveled all over for a unique experience.

Sisters Bette and Barb from Maryland were all laughs and smiles on Wednesday.

"We got a van and had signs made and put on our car that says, 'we're going to the World's Largest Yard Sale'," says Bette Tassone and Barb Ford.

While this is the sisters' first year, one of the vendors Channel 3 spoke with, says what to expect with this relatively cooler weather.

"It will be lined up out here on the highway, I mean you won't be able to get a spot to pull your car in all the way as far as you can see by Friday," states vendor Janna on Signal Mountain.

Janna tells Channel 3, it takes them about three days to set up.

Residents on Signal Mountain, like Mary Anne, count on this event every year.

She says, "We've found things for our kids to furnish their homes, we've found things that are just fun vintage pieces, we've found lanterns."

A new vendor to Signal Mountain tells Channel Three what he expects. "I've heard I don't have enough furniture", tells Joseph Creasman.

Joseph and his team have been working and setting up since last Saturday. They offer custom wood work made of red cedar.

"It's something you can pass down through generations instead of throwing it out in the yard, because the older it gets the stronger it gets," adds Creasman.

This weekend, enjoy 675 miles of scenic beauty and yard sales.

With many vehicles on 127, remember to drive with caution and be aware of those around you.

Vendors say to plan your route. It takes approximately 12 hours to cover 50 miles. Make a list and be flexible. Bargain and pack for any inclement weather.
