UT quarterbacks have good 'camaraderie' despite position battle

The Vols have a little over a month to name their starting quarterback, and until then all Big Orange Nation will be talking about is who's winning the quarterback race.

Junior Quinten Dormady seems to be out in front, with redshirt freshman Jarrett Guarantano following closely behind. Usually battles for a starting spot can become intense between players, but the two candidates say they've only become closer teammates.

"I mean we have good camaraderie" says Dormady. "I think that the room is fun and energetic. We get a lot accomplished in our meetings, and I think the camaraderie is really good."

"Quinten had a great spring game" says Guarantano. "He had a great spring. He's been a great teammate for me, and I think our friendship is growing as well. I think we're able to come to each other and talk about whatever we want. So it's definitely growing, and just so everyone knows there's no bashing, no fighting in the locker room. We're all cool."

Tennessee will open up the 2017 season Monday September 4th against Georgia Tech.
