TRENTON, GA (WRCB) -

A Dade County Sheriff's Office deputy went above, and below, the call of duty Tuesday night.

Deputy Dustin Coffman helped the Trenton Police Department retrieve a kitten from a storm drain.

A Facebook post from the Dade County Sheriff's Office says that Deputy Coffman crawled down into the storm drain "without hesitation" to rescue the small kitten.

The kitten had apparently been there for a few days.

Coffman kept up the good work, taking the kitten back to the Sheriff's Office to be cleaned and fed, and even found the young feline a new home.
