Two McMinn County men have been indicted by the grand jury in separate sexual assault cases.
On June 30, a deputy received a report of a juvenile girl being assaulted by 33-year old, Charles Hester, of Englewood. Officials say the case was brought to the attention of the Department of Children's Services (DCS).
Deputies presented the case to the McMinn County Grand Jury, which returned an indictment for Hester on a Statutory Rape charge.
Hester was taken to custody on July 21st by deputies and since been released after making a $20,000 bond to appear in McMinn County Criminal Court.
Also on June 30th, a deputy received a report of a juvenile girl being touched inappropriately by 60-year old, David Lange, of Etowah. The case was brought to the attention of DCS. Deputies continued with the investigation, reviewing evidence and phone conversations between the victim's mother and Lange.
Lange was indicted by the McMinn Co Grand Jury and charged with aggravated sexual battery.
Lange was taken into custody by deputies on Tuesday, and has been released since making a $40,000 bond.
