Varnell, GA (WRCB) -

The former city manager for Varnell, Bill Morgan, and his son, Ralph, filed a lawsuit against three city council members on Friday.

Channel 3 obtained a copy of the suit that names Jan Pourquoi, David Owens, and Andrea Gordy.

On Tuesday, Channel 3 learned that Gordy resigned from the Varnell City Council earlier in the day.

The suit claims the three council members did not follow proper procedure when abolishing the Varnell Police Department.

Mayor Anthony Hulsey later vetoed their decision, reinstating the department.
