Good Tuesday. The heat and humidity will continue to be the main weather story for the next few days, but changes are heading our way.
Today we can look for temps to reach the low 90s with a high of 94 in Chattanooga. Heat index values will be near 100 this afternoon. We may see a stray shower or storm, but most of us will remain rain free.
Wednesday will be much the same with the high reaching 95 and, again, a slight chance for one or two showers.
Thursday will get to 93 in the afternoon, and skies will be mostly cloudy. We will be squeezed between low pressure to our west and low pressure to our east. That may produce a few scattered showers and storms Thursday afternoon. I will bump up the rain chance to 30% Thursday.
Friday will mark a bit of a change as the low to our west drags a front through the Tennessee Valley during the late morning and early afternoon. Look for scattered showers and thunderstorms during that time period. The clouds and rain will keep the high to about 85 Friday afternoon.
The weekend should be overall much more comfortable. Saturday will be mostly sunny with a high of 88. The humidity will also be a little lower Saturday so it should be a very nice day.
Sunday will be nice as well with the low humidity remaining and highs in the upper 80s. We might see one or two afternoon showers, Sunday.
