APISON, TN (WRCB) -

The Tri-Community Volunteer Fire Department Fire Marshal's Office is investigating a barn fire in Apison Monday evening.

The fire was reported just before 6:30 p.m. from the 10,000 block of Apison Pike.

Hamilton County EMS spokeswoman Amy Maxwell says firefighters arrived at the scene to find a fully-involved fire at a barn behind a home.

Since the barn was empty and no one was inside, firefighters controlled the burn to keep the flames from spreading.

No one was injured.

No damage estimates have been given; however, the barn is a complete loss.

Maxwell says the cause of the fire will be under investigation by the Tri-Community VFD's Fire Marshal's Office.
