Repair work to leave Chattanooga Valley high and dry Monday

WALKER COUNTY, GA (WRCB) -

Walker County is working to replace a six-inch valve Monday, which will mean that parts of Chattanooga Valley will be without water.

According to the Walker County Facebook page, work was expected to begin about 10:00am Monday, and is expected to finish about 4:00pm, according to the Walker County Water & Sewerage Authority.

Certain roads will be impacted as well: 

  • Chattanooga Valley Road to Happy Valley Road
  • North Nick-a-Jack Road
  • East Avenue
  • North Avenue
  • Bankston Avenue
  • All of Sanford Lane (where several businesses are located)
