Kite and Lewis Win the 2017 Moses Water Sports July Night C.B.A. Bass Tournament

CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) - The team of Steve Kite and Daniel Lewis caught a 5 bass limit weighing 30.72 pounds squeaking by the field of 98 anglers to win first place and $2,000.00 in the July Moses Water Sports, Chattanooga Bass Association Night Tournament. This night tournament was held Saturday, July 22nd out of Chester Frost Boat Ramp.

Jamie Copenhaver had big bass of this event weighing 10.05 pounds and Brent Hayes had 2nd big bass weighing in at 9.50 pounds.                                                                        

Steve said, ”We had 16 pounds at dark and 21 at 1 a.m. and 3 more big ones during the night to get our best 5. Most of our fish came on Soddy Custom Tackle 1\2 oz. spinner baits.”

Shane Frazier said “Special thanks to Moses Water Sports for their sponsorship of this event”.

All fish caught in this event were released back into Lake Chickamauga and special thanks to the fisherman for taking such good care of their catches in this event.

The top 8 money winners are as follows:

  3. Wade Kilgore and Robbie McGill 29.14lbs., $500.00
  4. Galen James and Tony Townsend, 28.59 lbs., $400.00
  5. Haden Lamb and Trevor Potter 26.41 lbs., $300.00
  6. Kevin Drake and Cory Vetter, 24.50 lbs., $250.00
  7. John and Mark Powell, 24.33 lbs., $200.00
  8. Stoney Johnson and David Craft 24.16 lbs., $150

The next C.B.A. day tournament will be sponsored by Island Cove Outdoor Center and will be held August 12th, 2017 out of Chester Frost Park.
