19-foot bike travels through Chattanooga area for non-profit organization
Organizers said they started at the Creative Discovery Museum in downtown Chattanooga and ended at a local flower shop in Rossville.
People living in the Tennessee Valley may have seen a large bike traveling through the area on Saturday.
The 19 foot long people powered art bike traveled 7 miles. Organizers said they started at the Creative Discovery Museum in downtown Chattanooga and ended at a local flower shop in Rossville.
The goal is to raise money for an organization called Playing To Live, which was founded by a Chattanooga woman.
Their mission is to help children in devastated areas through play therapy and art. Organizers said the bike ride could bring more awareness to the cause.
"I hope they're a little confused and I just hope it kind of makes them smile because it's four exercise bikes in the middle of the road. I hope it makes their heads turn and I hope maybe they go look up what it's all about," Maria Zare, an organizer said.
