CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) -- Nick Gordon hit a run-scoring single in the second inning, leading the Chattanooga Lookouts to a 5-2 win over the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp on Sunday.

Paul Clemens got Cam Maron to fly out with runners on first and second to end the game for his second save of the season.

The single by Gordon capped a three-run inning and gave the Lookouts a 3-2 lead after Travis Harrison hit a two-run double earlier in the inning.

The Lookouts later tacked on two runs in the eighth when T.J. White scored on a sacrifice and Harrison scored on an error to secure the victory.

Chattanooga right-hander Fernando Romero (8-6) picked up the win after allowing two runs on six hits over five innings. Opposing starter Chris Mazza (1-6) took the loss in the Southern League game after giving up three runs and seven hits over five innings.

The Jumbo Shrimp left some scoring opportunities on the table, stranding 12 baserunners in the loss. Austin Dean singled three times for the Jumbo Shrimp.

With the win, Chattanooga improved to 6-3 against Jacksonville this season.
