NORTH PORT, Fla. (AP) - A wrong turn took Melissa Kitcher off of her half-marathon trail run.
She was lost for nearly 12 hours in a 25,000-acre park in Florida.
She was found Sunday night after wandering around for hours.
A Florida newspaper reports the race director had no idea Kitcher was missing until her husband called hours after the Trail Hog run was finished.
But Kitcher isn't kicking the running habit.
She says plans to run the Sarasota Half Marathon in March and finish.
