A rainy start to your day, and cold air moving in late week

Posted: Updated:

Good Tuesday.  It is a wet and rainy start to the day.  Be careful heading out this morning.  The roads will be wet and the rain could be heavy at times.  As we move through the day, the rain will taper off to cloudy skies and a few light showers here and there.  Highs this afternoon will be in the mid to upper 50s.

Tonight will be mostly cloudy and much cooler.  We will drop into the upper 30s and low 40s across the Tennessee Valley.  Wednesday will be awesome.  Skies will be partly cloudy and highs will be in the mid 50s.

A front will move through on Thursday.  It will bring in MUCH colder air for the end of the week.  Thursday afternoon will only climb to 46 with sunny skies.

Friday will be the coldest day of the forecast.  We will start the day with bone jarring lows in the upper 10s and low 20s.  Highs in the afternoon will only manage to get to the upper 30s.

Saturday will be just about as cold and dry.  Saturday morning will be in the low 20s, and we may make it to about 42 for the high.

Sunday will be a LITTLE warmer.  Lows will be in the upper 20s, and the high may make it to 50 in the afternoon.  We will get some rain showers Sunday afternoon.

Good Thursday.  We have another bitterly cold start today with temps in the low to mid 10s this morning.  Fortunately, our winds are fairly calm this morning so wind chill won't be as much of an issue heading out.

The roads will be very slick including interstates and main city roads Tuesday night because of these cold temperatures. So travel should be discouraged.
