CATOOSA COUNTY, GA (WRCB) -

Georgia State Patrol investigators say a man was killed after being hit by two vehicles Thursday night.

It happened on Lake Road around 9:00 p.m.

The GSP says 31-year-old Max Alexander Wilson III, of Tunnel Hill, was hit by a 17-year-old driver while walking to a friend's house. Investigators say the driver didn't realize she had hit Wilson at first, but returned to the scene to check on the man, leaving her car on the road with its flashers on.

The GSP says a pickup truck saw the girl's car as it approached and ran over Wilson again as he went around the teen's car.

Wilson was pronounced dead on the scene.

The GSP says no charges will be filed against the drivers because Wilson was "improperly walking in traffic" with no reflective gear.
