Good Friday! Expect some dense fog this morning as you are heading out for the Black Friday deals. Temps are in the low 40s this morning so you may need a light jacket as you wait in line.
This afternoon will be great for round 2 of shopping. We will be mild and pleasant with a high of 65. Skies will be partly cloudy.
The weekend looks great. We will be cool and dry with highs in the upper 50s and low 60s, and lows in the 30s both days. The skies will be sunny and the air dry, so the wildfire danger will be high. Continue observing the burn ban in place.
Next week we will FINALLY get some relief. Monday will be mild and dry with a high of 65. A cold front will move over the Tennessee Valley Tuesday, and park right on top of us through Wednesday. The rain will be fairly persistent from Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday afternoon. Some model data is suggesting we will get 2"-4" of rain during that two day time period. That would put a nice dent in the drought ( we are 21+" below average for the year), and at least temporarily eliminate the wildfire risk.
