Good Monday. We will have plenty of smoke mixed in with some patchy areas of fog limiting visibility in some areas. We are also a "Code Orange" Air Quality Alert. Everyone should limit outdoor activities as much as possible, especially those with sensitive breathing issues. We have a temperature inversion this morning in which the temperature rises with height. That is a stable situation that does not allow for much mixing of air. That will keep a lot of the smoke trapped close to the surface of the earth making it extra bad this morning. As the inversion lifts this afternoon the smoke may clear in some areas, bu the fires will continue to pump smoke into the air. The high today will reach 68.
We are going to stay rain free through the week. We will warm a little heading through the week. Highs will climb into the low to mid 70s by the end of the week.
A front will press in Saturday. It may bring a sprinkle or two, but not much. The high Saturday will be 65. Much cooler air will move in behind the front. Sunday's high will only make it to 55.
