A big night for all voters, but Democrats say it'll be historic if a woman is elected President.
Channel 3 stopped by the Hamilton County Democratic Party's office Tuesday and volunteers were calling voters and urging them to get to the polls. While Tennessee has historically been a Republican state, Hillary supporters are not letting that stop them from getting the word out to vote. Voters say this election reminds them of 2008.
"After seeing Barack Obama be elected to President in America back in 2008, the sky became the limit, there's nothing that can happen," said Sheila Wofford.
"I think people on both sides of the aisle passionately care about the country. The difficulty arises when you start to vilify the other side and not look at what they may have as reasons," said Joel Scribner.
A lot of interest in this election. Some of the Hillary supporters Channel 3 spoke with voted for the first time and some switched political parties to vote for her.
Most people we talked with were very passionate about their candidate.
