CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -

A house fire on Dodson Avenue Halloween night caused a smoky Trunk-or-Treat event at a recreation center across the street.

It happened in the 1300 block around 6:40pm.

Officials confirmed the fire and said no injuries were reported.

A witness at the scene told Channel 3, heavy smoke began coming from the back of the home. She said the smoke became so thick, people were forced to leave the Trunk-or-Treat event at the Avondale Recreation Center.

Firefighters were able to put out the flames.
