SODDY DAISY, TN (WRCB) -

UPDATE: A man charged with attempted murder has been arrested for aggravated kidnapping.

Officials say they spoke with a woman who said between 8:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. that John Richard Jones came to her home and he kidnapped her at gunpoint.

He took her back to his home at 9800 block of Dallas Hollow Road. The woman said he hit her with the gun across the face. Officials said they observed cut marks under her right eye and a busted lip on the left side. The woman said Jones had been drinking and said he would get her for everyone that snitched on him.

The woman said Jones passed out on the bed and then she called police.

Jones was arrested for aggravated assault, aggravated kidnapping, and other charges.  His bond has been set at $500,000

PREVIOUS STORY:  Police in Soddy Daisy have arrested a man, charging him with Attempted Murder.

Police say officers were dispatched to a call of a person shot early Saturday morning at 12332 Old Dayton Pike. When officers arrived on scene the victim was located in the yard only clothed in a shirt and suffering from a gunshot wound to the arm.

The victim told the officer that Richard Jones had shot her. While officers were in route to the victim, another officer responded to Richard Jones' residence. The officer placed Jones in handcuffs and observed in his vehicle a ball of hair, flip flops, a purse, and what appeared to be blood drops.

Jones told the officer that the victim tried to wreck his vehicle.

Jones has been charged with Attempted Murder and his bond was set at $260,500.
