KNOXVILLE (News Sentinel) -
Pop singer Selena Gomez, who was spotted in public on Oct. 8 having lunch at a Texas Roadhouse restaurant in Alcoa, was in the Knoxville area to receive rehab treatment at Brookhaven Retreat in Seymour, according to In Touch magazine.
In an exclusive report in the magazine’s Oct. 31 edition, on stands now, an unnamed source said, “She absolutely hates it there” after Gomez reportedly checked into the women-only treatment facility for her excessive drinking and partying. The source also claimed, “when the actual effects of detoxing hit her body, she started complaining.”
Gomez – singer of such Top 10 hits as “Good for You,” “Come and Get It” and “The Heart Wants What It Wants” and star of Disney Channel’s “Wizards of Waverly Place” – canceled her tour and withdrew from the public in August, reportedly to deal with anxiety and depression, which are side effects from her struggle with lupus.
