The area's biggest football game may take place tonight in Dalton
#5 ranked Dalton High School plays host to the #4 ranked Harrison Hoyas in a pivotal 6-6A matchup
If you love big-time high school football, then Harmon Field in downtown Dalton, Georgia is the place to be tonight. The Dalton Catamounts (ranked 5th in class 6A by the Atlanta-Journal Constitution) plays host to the 4th ranked Harrison Hoyas in a region 6-6A matchup. Both the Hoyas and the Catamounts enter the game undefeated (7-0), and the winner will leave the game with an inside track to the 6-6A region championship (and a #1 seed in the playoffs). The Catamounts have flown under the radar in the Tennessee Valley area this year as a result of being place in a region based out of the North Atlanta area, but they are undoubtedly one of the top teams in our coverage map.
Channel 3 Sports's Brooks Carter interviewed Dalton Head Coach Matt Land earlier this week to preview the game, in a WRCBtv.com Eyewitness Sports Exclusive. Hear it below:
