I was cleaning out some of that extra storage space we have in our house when I remembered something: I’ve got about 10 shoeboxes under a cabinet filled with nothing but paper photos.
Of course my kids barely know what I’m talking about, “they put pictures on paper? How did they do that?” The truth is if you’re older than 25 you have a lot of those paper photos stacked unsorted and unorganized.
Many of our viewers have asked me “How do I take those old pictures and put them on my computer? Do I need a scanner?”
Actually, a scanner just may be the worst way to tackle the project.
If you follow these steps you can put about 1,000 old photos onto your computer in less than an hour:
I’ve used this set-up several times over the past year and probably have 300 photos from high school now on my computer.
Getting all of those photos on my computer though is just half the job. Next time we’ll talk about organizing those photos!
