DAVIS AND GROSS WIN TOWBOAT U.S. CHATTANOOGA BASS ASSOCIATION 2016 CLASSIC CHAMPIONSHIP

CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) - The team of Alex Davis and Buddy Gross reeled in a two-day catch of 10 bass weighing 44.02 pounds to take the win in the 2016 Tow Boat U.S. CBA Classic Championship on Lake Chickamauga.

This 2 day event was held at Chester Frost Park where 64 teams battled for the prestigious honor of CBA Classic Champions and $10,000.00 first place money. The total payout of this year’s two-day event totaled $50,000.00.

Buddy said:’’ I found them on Friday and thought I might have caught too many of them but I was lucky there was enough there to win.

First day big fish winners are as follows:

Buddy Gross and Alex Davis 9.05 lbs

Chris Grant and Lee Looney 6.14 lbs

Second day big fish winners are as follows:

Matt Powell and John Powell 7.85 lbs

Second big bass Buddy Gross and Alex Davis 7.80 lbs.

3.Steve Barnes and Spencer Smith - 31.45 lbs - $2,500

4.Derek McCullough and Jim McClanahan - 30.65 lbs - $2,000

5.Brad Allen and Phillip Lessellroth - 29.49 lbs - $1,750

6.Wes Hardin and Carter Day - 29.06 lbs - $1,700

7.Bryan Newberry and Luke Crass - 28.87 lbs - $1650

8.Rogie Brown and Cary Dotson - 27.83 lbs - $1600

9.Tom Helton and Nathan Bell - 26.61 lbs - $1550

10.Barry Wingo and Jeff Hineman - 25.91 lbs - $1500

All fish caught in this event were released back into Lake Chickamauga.
