An East Ridge pharmacy was robbed Saturday late Saturday evening on Ringgold Road. 

East Ridge police says they were dispatched to 5301 Ringgold Road in regards to a robbery in progress. When officers arrived to the Walgreens Pharmacy, a store representative advised that the suspect had fled the scene, but the pharmacy had been robbed. Officers searched the surrounding area but could not locate a suspect.

Officers spoke with a person working in the pharmacy at the time of the robbery and told them that a black man walked up to the counter and began asking questions in regards to his pregnant girlfriend. The employee said the suspect then flashed a handgun and pointed it at in their direction after he jumped the counter at the pharmacy. The suspect demanded to give him drugs and told the employee to get on the floor before leaving the store. 

Officials said they spoke with another employee working at the time of the robbery, she stated that the suspect threatened if anyone moved he would shoot everyone in the store. 

The suspect is described as: 

  • Black male
  • 6'0'' tall, thin build
  • Black t-shirt
  • Black pants
  • Dark hat
  • Black bag
  • Around 20 years of age

The gun used in the robbery is described as a silver or bluish handgun. 

The drugs stolen from the pharmacy are: Hyrdromorphone, Oxycontin, Oxycodone, and a type of Morphine.
