Fatal single vehicle crash on Lee Highway

CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -

UPDATE: Chattanooga Police have identified the driver killed in an early Saturday morning crash on Lee Highway. 30-year-old Lauren Guza was killed in a single vehicle crash.
 


PREVIOUS STORY: 

Early Saturday morning officers with the Chattanooga Police Department responded to a traffic crash in the 6300 block of Lee Highway.  

A single vehicle crash occurred near Lee Highway and Customer Delight Drive. The victim was driving in the turning lane while on the overpass.  The vehicle continued straight and did not make the turn.

The vehicle continued into the grassy median then back onto the asphalt where it struck a traffic control box and flipped.

The driver was transported to a local hospital by Hamilton County EMS with serious injuries. The driver later succumbed to the injuries. 

Chattanooga Police ask anyone with information regarding this incident to call 423-698-2525.  The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released when available.
