The University of Tennessee Board of Trustees will consider a $106 million renovation of Neyland Stadium during its meeting in Knoxville Friday.

The project will focus on the south end of the stadium and includes relocating the visitor locker room, addressing safety issues in the seating areas and correcting safety regulations at the field level, according a summery included in the meeting agenda.

The renovation will also include creating an entry plaza at the north entrance of the Neyland-Thompson Sports Complex at the corner of Lake Loudoun Boulevard and Johnny Majors Drive. That part of the renovation is estimated to cost $1,000,000.

The renovations will be done in phases, with a targeted completion date of August 2019.
