TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - A fan tweeted a photo of Nick Saban’s statue carrying a University of Tennessee flag outside of Bryant-Denny Stadium on Sunday.
Preston Morris tweeted the photo at 9:37 p.m. ET Sunday. Saban’s statue is at the Walk of Champions outside of the stadium in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
Saban hasn’t lost to Tennessee since he took over at Alabama in 2007.
Tennessee is 1-11 against teams coached by Saban. The Vols beat Saban’s LSU Tigers by a score of 26-18 on Sept. 29, 2001.
No. 9 Tennessee hosts No. 1 Alabama at Neyland Stadium at 3:30 p.m. ET Saturday. CBS will broadcast the game.
Tennessee hasn’t beaten Alabama since Oct. 21, 2006, when head coach Mike Shula was in the last season of his four-year tenure at Alabama.
The SEC Network also tweeted the photo of Saban carrying the Tennessee flag. The network's SEC Nation will broadcast its pregame show from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday in front of Ayres Hall on the University of Tennessee campus.
