Good Monday.  Fall has finally arrived and will settle into the Tennessee Valley this week.  Today will be mostly sunny with a high of 79 degrees.  We will be cool and comfortable tonight.  The low will drop into the upper 40s.

The fire danger remains high.  One way we can measure the dryness of the air is with the dew point.  On a hot humid day, dew points will be in the 60s and 70s.  Dew points are in the 40s right now.  The dry air combined with the extreme drought conditions (15.32" below average rainfall for the year) mean the air is ripe for any sparks or embers to grow into  wildfires.  Be aware of any burn bans for your area.

Tuesday through Friday we will have periods of clouds here and there, but overall the weather each day will repeat itself.  Mornings will be cool and pleasant in the upper 40s and low 50s.  Highs each afternoon will reach the upper 70s and low 80s.  No rain is in the forecast.

For the weekend, we will have the same temperature range, but a bit more cloud cover as a front moves through.
