Good Saturday. The big weather story locally is the windy, dry, and cooler weather moving into the Tennessee Valley. A cool front moving through today will give us winds from the north up to 20 mph with higher wind gusts. Those winds will bring in some cooler and drier air. The lower humidity will increase the risk for wildfires. The wind will complicate things further. Any wildfires that do develop will have the potential to spread quickly. There is currently a burn ban in effect for Hamilton County. Be aware of any burn bans in your area. Make sure any campfires are thoroughly doused and extinguished.
We will also be a bit cooler today. We actually made it up to 90 yesterday. We will only get up to 80 today under sunny skies.
Sunday will be cool and breezy. We will start with light jacket weather in the morning with lows in the upper 40s. The afternoon will see a pleasant high of 76 with sunny skies and north winds at 10-15 mph.
Next week high pressure will settle in and give us a fairly stable weather pattern. Each day lows will be cool in the upper 40s and low 50s. Highs will be pleasant in the low 80s. Winds will be light, and skies will be sunny all week long.
