Walker Valley beats Soddy Daisy 61-28 in Thursday night region 4-5A matchup

Posted: Updated:

Soddy Daisy and Walker Valley kicked off the high school football week with a Thursday night region 4-5A matchup.

Walker Valley got on the board right away after quarterback Kolten Gibson threw one deep into the endzone to Bryce Nunnelly who came up with the incredible catch to get the scoring started for the Mustangs.

Trojans answered back during the middle of the first quarter when senior quarterback Justin Cooke ran one in for the Soddy Daisy score, cutting the lead in half.

The mustangs made one last move before the end of the first though. Gibson hit Zach Eslinger on the outside for the third Walker Valley touchdown. Mustangs would ultimately go on to win it, 61-28 over the Trojans.
