UPDATE: Missing Alzheimer's patient found safe at home

HAMILTON COUNTY, TN (WRCB) -

UPDATE: The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office says Kenneth Lindsey has been found safe.

Spokesperson Matt Lea says Lindsey managed to drive himself home after losing his way while en route to a cable company to pay his bill Tuesday morning.


PREVIOUS STORY: The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office is asking for your help finding a missing elderly man.

In a press release, sheriff's spokesman Matt Lea says 82-year-old Kenneth Lindsey was last scene around 10:00 Tuesday morning before leaving his house to pay his cable bill.

Lea says his family called the Sheriff's Office around 3:00pm after learning from the cable company that their loved one never made it there.

"Mr. Lindsey suffers from what family members believe to be early onset Alzheimer’s and needs to return home to take his medicine," Lea says in the release.

Kenneth Lindsey has gray hair and blue eyes. He's 5’ 8” tall, and weighs approximately 135 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt with blue jeans and driving a red Ford F-150 with a TN tag: 320-JVC.

The exact location or general area of Lindsey's home was not included in the release.
