Man accused of stealing video games from Memphis warehouse
Memphis police say a man has been charged with stealing $600,000 worth of sports video games from a warehouse where he worked.
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - Memphis police say a man has been charged with stealing $600,000 worth of sports video games from a warehouse where he worked.
The Commercial Appeal (http://memne.ws/2dBVnbj ) reports 28-year-old Barry Hicks was charged last week with theft of property over $250,000.
According to an arrest affidavit, the warehouse security director contacted Memphis police in late August about the theft of 600 video games from the receiving docks. A review of a security video showed an employee moving a box that was later found empty in another part of the warehouse.
Investigators say another man later told police he allegedly received video games from Hicks to resell.
Hicks remained in the Shelby County Jail on $150,000 bond Sunday. Jail records didn't indicate whether he has an attorney to comment on the charges.
